The Farm is in Bloom

Long time no post my friends I am back posting about more progress on the Farm. The weather has sprung things into gear and the ball has started rolling! And we couldn’t be happier about it.

As the weather gets warmer we find ourselves tending to our tiny crops even more. And they haven’t let us down. Our squash is huge, sunflowers blooming, the wild blackberries are taking over, and even watermelons making their way into our baskets.

A couple weeks ago we decided we would try our hands at growing micro greens to sell and we found we have just the right touch for them. With that being said we have been slamming poles into the ground and digging out our foundation for a hoop house!

The hoop house is nothing but a home built green house. Metal pipe has been bent to around 19 feet and pipe was laid standing about 5 feet tall. It will hold all of our more sensitive babies while the weather changes out of their favor.

Small progress but still progress, and we couldn’t be more proud to say we have all done it our selves.

As always thank you for stopping by to read the little bit of my life.

  1. Oh I am so jealous! I started indoor seeds for my small backyard garden and they all but died shortly after sprouting. Maybe next year…
