It’s not every day that you get to interview your hero. And this isn’t an interview with my hero, but on the latest episode of theDIHEDRAL Podcast I (Carrot) sat down to talk about Socrates. More specifically I break down what I consider to be some of the high points of Plato’s Apology.
The Apology covers the trial of Socrates as he defends himself against the charges brought against him by the poet Meletus. It is in this dialogue that Socrates makes the famous proclamation that “the unexamined life is not worth living”.
The Apology is a beautiful piece the in which one of the best (Socrates) is at his best.
I hope you’ll join me as I take some poetic liberties in breaking down some of the highlights of the trial of the century!
