Sandwiches in Mallorca

On our most recent episode of theDIHEDRAL Podcast, climbing media star Courtney Shatz and I (Carrot) talked about opening a sandwich shop and paddle board rental space in Mallorca Spain. We each came up with a couple sandwiches and the necessity of having an enormous surfer-style Chris Sharma mural on one of the walls.  theDIHEDRAL crew wanted in on some menu contributions too, and so, here we are.  An imaginary menu for a hypothetical restaurant in Mallorca.  We were even able to convince Courtney to offer up some new options.

The Restaurant should be considered a salute to Miguel’s Pizza at The Red, only with sandwiches instead of pizza, and in Spain instead of Eastern Kentucky!

Here is our sandwich menu!


The Sharma: Grilled Cheese w/brie, Fig Jam, Arugula, Sliced Pears on Sourdough.

Sendwich: Grilled PB Sandwich, Sliced Apples, Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt on Oatnut Bread.

The Ueli: Baby Swiss, Avocado, Pesto, Balsamic Reduction, Arugula, Chili Flakes, Everything Bagel Seasoning, on Plain Bagel (Toasted).

The Dirtbag: Fried Ramen, Avocado, Tempeh Bacon, Soy Sauce on a Baked French Baguette.

The South Face: Creamy Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly and Creamy Peanut Butter on Wheat.

High-Clip

Nugs: Tater Tots, Eggs, and Cheese on an English Muffin.

Bahn My Belayer: Tofu, Pickled Carrots (sorry, Carrot) and Daikon Radishes, Cilantro, and Sliced Jalapeños on a French Roll.

The Multipitch: Double Decker Sandwich with Lettuce, Portobello, Cheese, Scallion, and Bell Pepper on each layer. Served on Pumpernickel.

Crack: Cookie Dough and Honey on Sourdough.

Bitter Pitch: White Vermont Cheddar, Pickles, Dijon Mustard on a Grilled Whole Wheat Lasah Wrap. 

Honey Bolts: Brie, Swiss, Havarti, Smothered with Honey on a Baked French Baguette then Covered with more Honey.

Embutidos: Salami, Baby Swiss, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Alfalfa, Salsa Rosada, on French Baguette. 

Megos: Sauerkraut, Tempeh Bacon, Pickles, Carrots, Swiss, on Rye.

Knot Miguels (Pizza Sandwich): Pizza Sauce, Mozzarella, and Any Two Toppings on Baked Cheese Bread.

The Soloman: Fresh Mozzarella, Prosciutto, Arugula, Tomatoes, Balsamic, Mayo on Artisanal Bread.

Bruise Brothers: Turkey, Mayo, Honey Mustard, Spinach, Red Onions, Extra Sharpe Cheddar on White Bread.

Boing!: Ham, White Cheddar, Apple, Rosemary Mayo, and Greens on Toasted French Baguette.


The Haul Sack/Outside-In: Any sandwich can be ordered as a Haul Sack, or Outside-In.  Meaning all sides are added into the sandwich.

Sides Include: Chips, Apple, Pickle. 

Gear Swap: All Sandwiches Come in a Vegetarian Option.


The best part about this hypothetical restaurant is that anyone is welcome to add their favorite sandwich to the menu, just let us know in the comments what your favorite sandwich is, and we’ll add it to the list!

Also if there are any VC’s out there looking to back this project, just let us know and we’ll happily work with you so that we can move to Mallorca and run this place like a fine tuned Gri Gri, We’ll even name a sandwich after you!

        OH! Ok! Just one MINOR detail and we’ll wrap this up in no time! NOW,…I DO have stage 4 cancer so we need that donation PRONTO, lol. My surgery in November bought me more time ;-). Now, for that million….helllloooo? Anyone????😂😂
