Flying Sends

As summer rolls around, everyone starts making vacation plans. But who really enjoys the act of traveling? I mean, if I could teleport to my destination, I totally would. But what if we could climb on our way there?

Here is my very realistic vision: climbing planes. Climbers could opt for a climbing plane where you can send for most of the flight. Take off and landing would be pretty much normal, except while we’re cruising , the chairs would fold down into crash pads. Then, the overhead bins would fold down into climbing walls. Naturally, the ceiling would also be a climbing surface for those roof climbing junkies. After that, the passengers can go nuts!

Instead of blankly staring ahead into the abyss, people could spend their travel time getting GAINS. Plus, if you get too pumped, you can still just hang out on the crash pads and/or spot other climbers. Any turbulence would really just be an easy way to make dynos. For those who aren’t pro air climbing, there could be hang boards at either end of the plane. This way, people could still get gains without climbing only overhanging routes.

In a dream world, that could be really fun, and it would make travel so much less draining. In reality, it’s not the most safe or realistic idea, so please don’t take it seriously. That being said, maybe we could try some mental exercises while traveling this summer to stay sharp and mentally strong!

Safe travels this summer!
