On this month’s episode of theDIHEDRAL Podcast we were joined once again by one of our favorite guests, JL Collins. JL is a gentleman’s gentleman, everything I know about investing comes directly from reading his books and his blog, which you can find at JLCOLLINSnh.com. He is the award-winning author of The Simple Path to Wealth and has just released his follow up book, Pathfinders.
I cannot think of a better set of books to recommend for those who, like me, know very little about investing money. I strongly recommend Pathfinders to anyone who is looking to make steps toward financial independence.
On this episode, JL reminds us that Financial Independence can mean different things to different people, and that point is illuminated brilliantly in JL’s Pathfinders.
It was energizing to speak with JL about some of the folks who were highlighted in his latest book and to hear some interesting details about the background of those folks.
Personally, this is a book I encourage all my family and friends to read. The path laid out by JL was an complete game changer in terms of how I think about money, investment, and the type of control I can have over my future.
Pathfinders is a book written for everyone. However, the dirtbags among us stand to gain priceless insight on how even beach bums, snowbirds, crag hoppers, and pebble wrestlers can find success on the path to financial independence!

JL continues to be one of the most fascinating and encouraging guests we’ve benefitted from to date. I hope you’ll find him to be as pleasurable and enjoyable as we did.

I think I shall write a book. I’ll call it “the Simple Path to Poverty.” It will be partially autobiographical.
