Climbing at Walt Disney World?

Hello, Coach Max here! So, my family and I are huge Disney fans. We are annual pass holders at Walt Disney World and are going all the time. 

But ever since my first time going to Disney World last year, I was looking around and wondering why they had no interactive rock climbing for kids or adults. So I started thinking to myself ‘what park could they put one in and what type of theme it would be?’

I came up with some ideas because of course there are mountains in a lot of Disney movies and even a classic Mickey Mouse cartoon called ‘Alpine Climbers’ that was released in July 25th 1936. Here’s a brief description from Google “a Walt Disney Mickey Mouse animated short film where Mickey, Donald Duck, and Pluto go mountain climbing in the Alps, encountering a mother eagle, a mountain goat, and a St. Bernard who gets Pluto drunk on brandy.” 

 Between that Mickey Mouse cartoon and the mountains in movies like Frozen and Mulan, I think the market is there for Disney to bring in some rock climbing.

I came up with a little something, so hear me out. First I would put the rock climbing wall/mountain in Hollywood Studios because that’s the park that immerses guests into their favorite movies.
I would make sure that all the staff are top-rope certified and that they would have auto belays with staff making sure everybody is safe clipping in and etc. I would also have a little area to get harnessed up, I wouldn’t worry too much about climbing shoes mainly because of the wear and tear over time on them and getting them fitted and people walking away wit them by accident. 

The theme I would do is Frozen because it’s so well known. Second you can have blue rock climbing holds of different shape with a baby blue/grey wall/mountain to give an effect that climbers were like Anna climbing in the movie. Of course there would have to be adventurous music playing in the background.
