Pistons vs Timberwolves

So back on the topic of basketball, I decided to do a versus article of Carrot’s and my favorite NBA teams. The Minnesota Timberwolves (My team) and the Detroit Pistons( Carrot’s team), but instead of current teams, I am doing an all time versus of our two teams.

For the Timberwolves I would put these 5 at the top (no particular order)

  • Kevin Garnett
  • Karl-Anthony Towns
  • Anthony Edwards
  • Kevin Love
  • Sam Cassell

I would say this is a very strong offensive group from inside scoring to the three point shooting. This is also a good mix of some old school and new school basketball so that mix of both could be a good combos on the court. These players are all also great team first oriented players so lots of passing to score.

Next is the Pistons( No particular order)

  • Isiah Thomas
  • Joe Dumars
  • Bill Laimbeer
  • Ben Wallace
  • Chauncey Billups

This is a very very strong group in my opinion offensively and defensively. You have strong old school inside posts and undeniable outside shooters. With this group you also have a great mix of old school and a little 2000’s new school. This would be one of the toughest five to play against no matter who you are.

Now when it comes to the top 5 Pistons vs the top 5 Timberwolves that would be a great game. The matchups down low with all the defense in the game would be awesome. The outside shooting from both teams would be like a 3-point shootout contest. I would pay to see this game any day of the week.

It would be bringing back the beautiful sport of basketball that Carrot and I fell in love with.

As a Timberwolves fan, it hurts me to say this but that championship experience and caliber team that top 5 Pistons have is undeniable. Out of a best of seven game series I have Pistons in 7.

I hope you enjoyed this article!
