For as long as I can remember I was the smallest amongst all the groups. Not only was I the smallest, I was the scrawniest out of all. I’ve always been one to throw myself completely into something. Drive and dedication aren’t things I’ve ever lacked. But I have lacked the confidence and well size and strength to do all the things I wish to do.
About two years ago I found myself wanting to become the best version of myself, but fell short on how to get there. I tried gyms, tried at home workouts, tried training. But just couldn’t find my groove. As a former soccer and hockey player I’ve been down the conditioning road and that’s all the workout I’ve ever know. Hard work and lots of pushing of yourself. But I didn’t know where to start to get back to that type of exercise, I had no one to guide me so I simply gave up.
Recently I’ve joined a cross-fit group with family and have just attended two classes. But hold crap! This stuff is amazing. Just what I needed! This is the type of environment I’ve been looking for the whole time. I’ve had moments of shine and moments of torture in my two short days but with the dedication and patience I will soon be forging the best version of myself. And I couldn’t be happier about it!!
Stay tuned to hear more about my progress as the weeks go by! I am excited to get things kickin’!
As always thanks for the read! And if you have any suggestions on anything related throw them my way.

I will be checking in on you to see how your journey is going. I became a licensed Zumba instructor (also known as a ZIN) in September of 2015 and I am looking to secure my own space to hold my own classes because you make little to no money working at a gym…so I am on a journey as well. I’m excited for you to reach your goal and will give you shout outs along your journey to help keep you going! 🙂

Good luck and enjoy. I did a seven minute workout on my phone, glad that I could fit it into my busy schedule. Ended up with chest pain in the middle of the night. Somehow managed to hurt the cartilage of my breast bone. Luckily my other half was on hand to stretch and massage the offending muscles and provide some relief. Think I will stick to yoga 😀
