Hey, I’m back again now talking about my favorite spot on the court the three point line. As a former hooper myself who was known for my three pointers in high school, this article hits home for me. When I was playing basketball in high school I would ideally be trying to get as many three pointers as possible in practice and definitely in the games way more than just regular field goals. So now I’m gonna compare the top three point shooters from Carrot’s and my favorite teams the Pistons and my favorite team the Timberwolves. I think it would be cool to have a three pointer contest like the all-star weekend to pit the three best Timberwolves three point shooters and Three best Pistons three point shooters. So first let’s look at some stats of the top three from each team in three point percentage from their time with the team.
Here’s the Timberwolves top three:
Karl-Anthony Towns (2015–2024) – 39.8% 3PT
Wally Szczerbiak (1999–2006) – 40.6% 3PT
Anthony Edwards (2020–Present) – 36.9% 3PT
Now let’s look at the Pistons top three:
Joe Dumars (1985–1999) – 38.2% 3PT
Allan Houston (1993–1996) – 39.5% 3PT
Chauncey Billups (2002–2008, 2013–2014) – 39.4% 3PT
Now this would be an awesome three point contest, I picture them all wearing jerseys from their time too so it will be a cool mix of looks within the same teams. Now we do have some past three point contest participants and winners on this list too. Here’s some info on that

Now the Pistons had more overall competitors in the three point contest over the years, but the Timberwolves have more overall winners! I think Billups and Kevin Love would be a great matchup and it would be a toss up on who wins that three point contest.
