Dylan Barks

On our latest podcast episode of Anything But Climbing we are joined by an absolute crusher, Michigan’s own, Dylan Barks. Dylan has been putting up insanely hard routes all over the place for awhile, but in September of 2021 Dylan was able to tick his first V16 Creature from the Black Lagoon.

The difficulty of Dylan’s accomplishments is almost unimaginable, and the humility of Dylan’s demenour is almost unrivaled.

It was tough to avoid bringing up Dylan’s climbing feats in this conversation, but it was a blast covering this episode’s topic…dating! Dylan and I had a chance to run through some dating scenarios and ideas to not only find success on a first date, but to keep the romance flowing throughout the duration of a relationship.

Dylan gives some impactful advice to all would be daters, and should he ever want to step away from the rocks, I think he could have a future as a dating advice columnist and podcaster! Watch out Dear, Abby!

Dylan is a fantastic ambassador to the sport of rock climbing.  And as it turns out he’s also a well versed diplomat in the game of love!
