I’m back again with my series of Pistons vs Timberwolves. This time it’s single specific best teams from each of the franchises. So I put into consideration who was on the team and their record. My opinion the best Minnesota Timberwolves team of all time is the 2003-2004 team. The record, the star power and how far they went speaks for itself. Here’s some key details on that team.
Regular Season Record
- 58–24
- 1st place in the Western Conference
Starting five:
| Position | Player |
| PG | Sam Cassell |
| SG | Latrell Sprewell |
| SF | Trenton Hassell |
| PF | Kevin Garnett |
| C | Ervin Johnson |
Head Coach
- Flip Saunders
For the Pistons it was tough but I went old school with the 1988-1989 “BAD BOYS” Pistons squad. Between the reputation and toughness this team had plus winning the championship it speaks for itself. Here’s some more info on that team.
Regular Season Record
- 63–19
- Best record in the NBA
Here is the starting five from that team.
| Position | Player |
| PG | Isiah Thomas |
| SG | Joe Dumars |
| SF | Mark Aguirre |
| PF | Rick Mahorn |
| C | Bill Laimbeer |
Head Coach
- Chuck Daly
Now I would have loved to see these two teams go head to head. That would be a must see game of the century. Honestly I would have the Pistons win in overtime on a buzzer beater if this game were to happen in real life. But you tell me what you think.
Go Minnesota Timberwolves!Go Detroit Pistons!
