You may know the name, you may have climbed one of her routes at Inspire or Stone Co. or you saw her mini interview I did with her a while back ago! Jay De Vera a routesetter at Inspire that is sadly leaving us for a great opportunity that is well deserved! She’s not only impacted our lives on the wall with her amazing routes, but off the wall with her loving attitude for the sport and the climbers who climbed her routes! I decided to talk to some early morning members that knew her and wanted her to hear how she made an impact in a lot of their lives and that she will always be a part of the Inspire family! Here’s some love from some of the early morning crew family to you Jay!
Jay! You will be deeply missed! I didn’t always climb your routes successfully, but I always enjoyed them. They were projects that I genuinely enjoyed working on! Thank you for pushing us all to be better climbers! Best of luck to you!
– Josh Cummings
I’ve been climbing at inspire for about 8 years. I’ve met a bunch of really great people in that time. I appreciate everything you have done and whether you know it or not, you and your routes have always been right there with us through it all. I sincerely hope the future is bright for you Jay. Take care.
-Chris Sansing
Good luck with your new adventure. I hope your future is full of great climbs and just a little less complaining from climbers.
