Pistons vs Timberwolves pt. 12

Now this is a sensitive topic when it comes to the NBA recently, the dunk contest for all star weekend. Carrot and I talked about it multiple times, just so disappointing especially with the amazing history it has. We both agree it needs to go back to what it was in the Jordan era and early 2000’s era. It was creative, fun and anybody’s title to take home. Now let’s think of a dunk contest with the three best dunkers from Carrot’s and my teams the Pistons and Timberwolves of course. First I want to put out there the best I think in game dunker to play for the Pistons is Ben Wallace with his strength and toughness. The Timberwolves is Anthony Edwards of course with his showmanship on his in game dunks! Now I’ve narrowed it down to the best three for each team some have competed in the dunk contest some have not, but all good in game dunkers! We will decide who we think is the best after!

Detroit Pistons Top Dunkers

  1. Andre Drummond (2012–2020) – Competed in the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
  2. Blake Griffin (2018–2021) – Won the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest (with the Clippers).
  3. Jalen Duren (2022–Present) – Nearly competed in the 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

Minnesota Timberwolves Top Dunkers

  1. Zach LaVine (2014–2017) – Won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 2015 and 2016.
  2. Isaiah Rider (1993–1996) – Won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 1994.
  3. Anthony Edwards (2020–Present) – Has not competed in the Dunk Contest but is considered one of the best in-game dunkers in franchise history.

Now this is a dunk contest I would love to see. The creativity and a mix of old school and new school! These six players were or are all great in game dunkers! Who do you think would win? And would you include anybody else from either team to compete?
